TeamDME! FAQ: Updating TeamDME!

If I don't have a network, how do I update TEAMDME!?

1. Go to a dos prompt (in windows choose "START", then "PROGRAMS", and then "MSDOS"). Once you are at the dos prompt, put DISK 1 in and type A:INSTALL.
2. Answer the prompts as follows:
Would you like to install TeamDME! Version? "YES"
Enter drive to update from: "A:"
Enter directory for program files "C:\SPECTRUM"
Enter directory for data files. (This will normally be "C:\SPECTRUM\DATA".) If you have multiple
companies, it will read C:\SPECTRUM, and the little box below will have a check mark in it.
3. You will be prompted to place each successive disk in drive A. When you have finished with the disks you will be returned to the dos prompt.
4. Type "EXIT" and press "ENTER" to return to WINDOWS .

I have a network, how do I update TEAMDME!?

1. Right click on your TeamDME! icon.
2. Left click on "PROPERTIES".
3. Left click on "PROGRAMS".
4. "CMD LINE" shows where your program is located. IGNORE THIS.
5. "WORKING" shows the path to your data. If it says "F:\SPECTRUM\DATA" then your path for your program files will be "F:\SPECTRUM" and your path for your data files will be "F:\SPECTRUM\DATA". If the first letter is something other than "F", then use that letter instead.
6. Left click on "CANCEL".
7. Go to the DOS prompt (in windows choose, "START", then "PROGRAMS", and then "MSDOS"). Once you are at the DOS prompt, put DISK 1 in and type A:INSTALL
8. Answer the prompts as follows:
Would you like to install TeamDME! version? "YES"
Enter drive to update from "A:"
Enter directory for program files (FROM STEP 5).
Enter directory for data files (FROM STEP 5).
If you have multiple companies, it will read whatever your first letter is and ":\SPECTRUM", and the little box below will have a check mark in it.
9. You will then be prompted to put in each successive disk. Once this is completed, you will be returned
to the DOS prompt.
10. On every computer you must do the following..... Go to the DOS prompt (in Windows choose, "START", then "PROGRAMS", and then "MSDOS"). You will be at the "C:\Windows" prompt.
Type "Copy " plus the first letter (that you determined in step 5 above) + "\Spectrum\Teamdme!.exe C:\Spectrum" and press Enter. IE...Copy F:\Spectrum\Teamdme!.exe C:\Spectrum
It will say "One file copied". Type "EXIT" and press the ENTER key to return to Windows.
